Hi charles, I'm using a Sherwood s-5000 as well ( done over by Don Sachs )driving a pair of Magnepan MMG's w/sub. Works great and sounds absolutely fantastic. My normal listing level, however, doesn't get any louder than mid to high 80's db. The Mini's are something I would like to try at some point given the true ribbon tweeter involved. But I'm a little hesitant being it's designed for desktop use and can be a little problematic on room placement. Some are having success however..... I still can't believe how good those Sherwood's sound.
