They are kind of like the German equivalent of the WE 102D. They are directly heated, have a pretty high plate resistance. Usually they need an output transformer to work effectively as a line stage. 3.5 volt / 0.5 amp filament that really wants a battery as a source to be quiet.
These can make a great line stage, but it is a tough build. They are worth $30 to $40 each. Much more popular (meaning there are at least some people using them) in Europe. Harder to implement than a 26.
