just sold a few NEC 8045G tubes for a Lux amp.

In examining them prior to shipment, I was surprised to see the plate construction has been copied by the KT-120's and KT-150's. While all tubes have similar plate stampers as a KT-88, the 8045 adds an additional appendage on four sides for better heat dissipation, and this is copied by the new KT series.

Wonder if the design was patented ( would have expired by now)....
