I needed a 12AX7 a while back and didn't have one readily available. I bought this version of the JJ from a local B and M store, it worked perfectly in an older tube receiver I was using. You should be OK with them now, having gotten their QC back to acceptable., but there are alternatives you may want to consider-?Gold Lion Russian or upscale Chinese etc.
