I tend to trust Uncle Kevy on a lot of things, he has gotten to know from long experience. You may want to heed his advice and stick to the Russian 6H23-EB he says to use. That said and if you don't mind having to roll the tube yet again early, you may want to try a hardy 6922, if that is the tube CJ says to use. If they go noisy on you- you have been warned-. The big problem is that I wouldn't use any expensive NOS treasure because it might suffer an early death. Uncle Kev say he can recommend a 7 volt tube you might try that.
