RE: testing and listening to antique tubes

It is always a crap shoot when buying old tubes. Better to have lowered expectations and be pleasantly surprised than the other way around. You might consider getting currently made tubes for more consistent performance or make your vintage tube purchase from someone that you have bought from before who stands by his sales. good luck , Dak
