Did you know the 5751 was made to replace a 6SL7 in a 9-pin format?
Of course it's more linear (better is a dangerous concept) than a 12AX7,
because a 6SL7 is. If you prefer more linear (lower distortion) then you may enjoy a 6SL7 or 12SL7 both of which are plentiful and usually cheaper.
