I run a modified SP14. I haven't compared it to the VTL or the Rogue, but it destroyed a Mac preamp ( not sure which model) once at a delears showroom. I used it for over a decade then had it improved about 3 years ago with new coupling caps, key resistors and wiring. Is it as good as some others? No idea but I have no desire to change.
