With the tube type enclosed in the stop sign, RCA seems likely. But, check out the photos TubeWorld has of a number of RCA 6sl7gt tubes from the 1940's - 1950's. The only design not to have clear glass being those with see through gray-coated glass similar to RCA's 6SN7's from the 1950's. Not conclusive of course, though this leads to the possibility this is not an RCA tube.
Seems to me too that National Union also made a 6sn7 with black coated glass. And TCTubes is quite skilled at ID-ing old tubes. Thus the possibility that this is a National Union tube.
