Be there, done that. I think most bottleheads have at somepoint in time. Heck, yesterday I rolled some almost forgotten about tubes into my CDP. The difference was stunning to say the least. I went from Siemens E288CC's to a pair of Telefunken ECC88's.

I did the same thing with my preamp, tried several different tubes and the winner was a pair of clear top RCA's.

I'm pretty sure that I'm not done yet
