If you don't know what the tube is then you should advertise it as "unknown EL34 tube" and "I believe it to be a Philips."
That would protect your reputation and then someone like Kevin may send you an e-mail telling you what you have.
I should imagine selling tubes would be hugely difficult - so many tube types, models, different labels, and Chinese companies making fake copies. There is a place here in Hong Kong that sells the real deal but also sells fakes (depending who walks through the door). And because there are a lot of fakes out there people are going to lump you in with them.
Personally, I gravitate to the likes of thetubestore.com who offer limited selection compared to what is on the net but I feel fairly certain you're getting the real product. Simply because I don't have the historical knowledge of tubes and can't tell by looking as to what I am getting. And if an online shop sells fake tubes - then it will soon be blacklisted - so if you are selling tubes - IMO you absolutely have to be right about what it is you are selling. Otherwise it is or it is bordering on fraud.
