5ar4 arcing fuse blowing on Scott 299b

After a long hiatus, i have started on recapping a Scott 299b that I had taken apart before my break. All the pics i had taken somehow disappeared from my computer, wrere they had been loaded to make room on my iphone. In fact several folders disappeared . I was left to work off my notes and schematic.
Cans were re stuffed and all the ceracaps were changed.
On startup with no tubes all is good. With the rectifier in and after a short warmup ,the 5ar4 begins arcing and blows the fuse. Initially i used an older sovtek . I then used a fairly new sovtek that has few hours and has not been abused. It too arcs. Additionally diodes have been added on the ac legs, but has made no difference. New rectifiers have been ordered.
With 117vac in, on pin 4 & 6 i have 375vac.
Tomorrow i will double check my wiring.in the meantime any thoughts would be helpful.
