I'm using a Canon Powershot SX30 IS ....16 mp

Here's how I like to set-up for my shots.

On a tripod or a book........

ASA @ 80, aperture all the way down to 8, room lights are turned down (if not off), slow the shutter way down to about 2 seconds, put on a 2 second timer and let it roll. I use a mini mag-lite as a variable light source.
