Well, that's scary enough.
One of my horror stories on tubes is that an EL34 tube of an int amp over heated and failed after I moved to a different house. Somebody suggested me that I should have rebiased the amp in a new house.
Anyway, I've been using Amperex 6JD8 Bugle Boy in my BAT VK30 for about 10 hours, and there has been no sign of over heating or acting up. It had Tesla JJ 6922 tubes before. I hear some difference of sound, more open and a bit more clear. No microphonic noise either. So, I guess it is a success case, at least till now.
