Hmm, well it's tough to tell. I've played with a few KT88s. I've found the warmest of them was the KT88SC (Preferred Series out of the Tubestore; also the Penta KT88). I find it pretty warm and lively compared to others such as the EH (more exact, maybe edgy yet refined after burnin), the JJ (lots of low end, smooth, jazzy, kinda soft).
The Gold Lion is a meow of its own, apparently. Just haven't had the chance to try em. Beyond that, we start getting into Shuguang and PSVane stuff that costs several times more.
