Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
Guys,
Well, I sent my Heathkit amps off and had someone find my error(turned out to be grounding). He was going to change them from Cathode biased to fixed bias. But, looking at space(UA-1, UA-2, or AA-61 depending on the year), it was limited. So we choose to add a little bit of adjustment. I think they can adjust about 1 mA. There is some pots inside now..
So, it's time to re-tube. What pin should I be measuring to adjust the bias?? HELP!! I can follow old instructions, but I guess my functionality of tubes doesn't translate between theory and practice.
Michael
