No. I am using ELROG 300Bs. I have listened to amps with both the ELROG 845 and 211. They are also beautiful.
It's also true that I have heard different 845s in different amps and that could also effect my reaction. Also my exposure to my own 300B tubes has biased my brain a bit.
Yes, they did have reliability problems with the 211 and 845 and it's a hard thing to shake off at the price. I am told that they have licked the reliability issues, but i know at least one major commercial tube buyer who is still a bit gun shy.
What can i say?
