RE: 6550/KT88 Recommendations

In terms of available product that's within a fair budget, I'd look at the Gold Lion KT88, or the Shuguang KT88SC (see Pref Series KT88 from TubeStore, same thing).

In terms of 6550 types, I'm not sure anything really comes to mind for that. There used to be the SED which some loved, but that's all hen's teeth now. Wow... actually, there ARE no good 6550s left... Sad...
