RE: Best Russian Substitute for 7189?

Other than scarce and expensive NOS, there is only 1 option to employ as a replacement for the 7189. The Russian 6П14П-EB (6p14p-ev), AKA EL84M, is that option.

The Russian tube is tougher than the proverbial brick outhouse and has quite decent sonics. :>) We are lucky to have it available.
