I used 6CA7EH instead of EL34 in my Manley amps

For what it's worth, when i retubed my Manley Neo-Classic 250 monoblocks a few years ago, Manley recommended the 6CA7EH Electro-Harmonix as a more durable tube. The Neo-Classic 250 normally takes EL34 tubes. The 6CA7EH biased fine, remained stable, and sounded wonderful.

You may have received a bad batch of tubes.

I no longer own the huge Manley Neo-Classic monoblocks as my listening room situation has changed. I'm using my relative small home office these days until I get around to finishing the basement space.
