i first tried a Gold Lion 12ax7 and thought it sucked. I didn't realize that there were two versions of their 12ax7. The more expensive Russian one and the half as expensive Chinese one.

I almost gave up on the Gold Lion tubes as all hype.

Why even offer the cheaper one at all? It is not very good and only serves to make the Gold Lion tubes look like they are mediocre.

The Russian stuff is great!
