The heater draw of the 6P3S-E is ~0.9A, very much like the 6L6/5881/7581/7027/807 series. While it is indeed a rugged device and worth a try, it's not really a 6L6GC WRT anode dissapation capabilities. A good NOS 6L6GC/7581/7027 will handle 30-35W without protest. IME the 6P3S-E begins to redplate ~25W...no runaway but certainly experiencing some stress. I'm not familiar with the the KT550 or how hard it runs the finals so the OP should check this before subbing in lesser replacements. Since the amp started out with 7027s, essentially an uprated GC, I would expect the 6P3S-E to be in a stressful environment unless sometihng is done to accommodate its limitations such as reduced idle current.
