In a 7027 pins 5 & 6 are connected together inside the tube, and so are pins 1 & 4. In a 6L6 or 7581 they are not.

So to use a 6L6 family tube in a 7027 socket you just have to make sure that if the grid connection is on pin 6 move it to pin 5; if the screen connection is on pin 1 move it to pin 4.

If you do that you can still use 7027s, but you an also use 6L6 family tubes.
