I found a seller of GEC KT88 tubes who says that all of them are used and "are typically testing from 65 to 75/44."
Do these figures mean that they test strong?
I believe, however, that $299.0 for a used tube is too much...
I have a quad of reissue GL KT88 and a quad of vintage GEC KT88s which I use with Cary SLI-80 (in rare cases when I use this amp).
The reissue GL tubes impart a somewhat "modern" sound to the Cary, while the vintage tubes are more relaxed in the HF but make it sound boring...
