After Reading Dick Olscher's review of the (sorry, I forget which). Anyway, I liked mine (Mapletree Audio 2A SE Linestage) with some costly NOS tubes when I ran an SS (hybrid to be exact, but had mosfet output), but once swapping it for all-tube power amps, I switched the preamp to a pair of far cheaper NOS 12SN7s (my preamp is cool like that, switchable 6SN7/12SN7) for a cleaner, less full sound, as the tube power amps provided enough meatiness themselves. Go figure.
