They suit my ears well, and have always sounded nice in the DIY preamps I run. Yes, some can be microphonic, but I don't notice any effects in the music. I'd have to do the tap test to know if they are microphonic.
I'd estimate there's 600+ 6SN7s in my collection. I use the low testing nothing specials...and who would know?
