RE: SS pre hums with Mk IIIs

Take a wire an ground the chassis of the preamp to the tube amp. It is likely there is not enough of a ground. The input impedance of the tube amp may be to high for the preamp causing oscillation. This type of hum is either a ground loop or oscillation.
