Around a year ago I tried a set of JJ KT77. With all deference to those who have had positive experiences with this tube, the set I had were the sonic equivalent of sucking on a penny - a metallic quality that made them unbearable. I returned them. Too bad, because I have a set of eleven year old JJ E34L that are pretty good.
