RE: Don't tube nerds care about measurments?

I always look at plate curves for the tube operating in the most linear part of the curve. That has come in handy for upgrading amplifiers for best sound due to for some reason the designer apparently ignored the operating points.

I do measure amplifier output with a distortion analyzer, use a scope and a dummy load with power meters. The equipment ensures no issues exist such as HF oscillations, etc.
