I appreciate the supportive comments. I reasoned that ARC knows everything there is to know about this amp and how it should perform. If there is invisible damage to other components, they will likely run it down and fix it properly.

I have been very pleased with their service in the past.

I don't mean to cast aspersions on any independent techs out there, but I don't know of anyone in my area, and I'm reluctant to hand this amp over to someone I neither know nor have confidence in.
