The "Woo" site says that this amp has no solid state devices. The second triode must be configured as a cathode follower. It could be that with the set up, a 6SN7 would not be over run as the two halves of the tube are operated very differently. Really doubtful if the 6SN7 is operated in the most linear section of the curve in this kind of swapping, but hey, it allows them to sell stuff.
