Just recently got a new power amp. An arc hd 220. It's a hybrid that has 6922 voltage tubes (electroharmonix) and a 6h30 (sovtek) driver tubes on each side , for its input stage. Which set of tubes have more effect on the sound?. The voltage or the driver tubes? Can some one explain in laymans terms how this tube impimentation works? Any suggestions for better quality replacements? Is it worth it to roll tubes in this circuit?
