I got lucky. I am on vacation and home at Chicago north side had been checked by friend yesterday. According to her, the sump pump was working hard and battery backup was beeping with Power Outage light on. Obviously, there was power outage at some point but it came back. Without battery backup basement would probably flood, with prolonged power outage like yours, even backup would eventually stop.
