Regarding NOS versus current tubes... there used to be a fairly large difference, but judging from the reaction to/reviews of the performance of the Tung-Sol and Genalex current production tubes I believe they have eliminated the vast majority of the difference. We can't speak to longevity as yet because the current tubes are too new in the market.
BTW, I don't carry the new production Mullard so I have no experience with them. I don't think most people care for coin or wafer base tubes, so I've passed on them until now.
As far as matching goes I'll try to help down further in the thread.
