Interesting tubes

The KT-120, KT 150 and the long gone 8045 used in the old Luxman amps., all of them In order to handle the extra power and harder running bias requirements, run extra cooling fins on the plates, sticking out at 45 degrees to the normal plate construction. In addition to that more beryllium bronze support rods are used, again to dissipate more heat (or so I am told by those in the know).

I find it interesting to see how the engineers have manged such powerful tubes in a relatively small package
