In fact, I'd say my NOS TS 6550 were much 'warmer'. The PSVANE KT-88 were far more fast and clean. Also very clear.
We were listening to a high end vinyl rig and on rebuilt QUAD 57 speakers, so clarity was a virtue everyone was listening for in order to decide what tube was best for this particular amplifier.
This was a room full of folks who were building this amp as part of the class so it was a pretty critical listening session.
