Uh, yeah. I think you got it right. If you want hyper-detail and extension top and bottom, then these are not the tubes for you. They are rolled off on both ends compared to say Siemens, but what they do in the middle is very, very nice. There is NO single tube in the 6DJ8 family that is the right pill for every ailment, and although the A-frame dimple-disc may not have scratched your itch this time, hang on to them as you never know when you'll find the right spot for them.
