I think much the same s Frihed re 6SN7s.
I am so taken with the 6SN7 that when I see an amp that uses them in a critical role I think about acquiring that piece, such as an Icon headphone amp I read about recently..
My TS round plates are a mixed bag, some sound good but not all. I like the Brimar CV1988 and the Sylvania Ws best at the moment. They are both superb imaging tubes. If you include ECC32s as 6SN7 equivalents I like the Mullard ECC32s most of all, tone wise, but they have limited utility.
