I suppose you could always separate the HT and just use the existing PT for the output stage . Maybe using a small toroid under the chassis for the input/driver HT and separate heater transformers ? This may help a little but won't do the value of the amp any favours . May as well start from scratch if you're going to do that :) I'm no fan of British vintage stuff , I'm forever scrapping Rogers kit , mainly HG88 Kk3 . Also unimpressed with Cadets and Quad II's . Leaks I've done have just needed recapping to get working , lots of badly cooked EL84 due to leaky coupling caps and the dodgy repairs previously mentioned .
