In preamp line stages or phono stages, they are more prone to microphonics because they are set up and wired to be voltage amplifiers with a much higher amplification factor. When used as a cathode follower or a driver-phase-splitters in power amps, microphonics are far less prevalent.Bottom line,it depends where they are used.
