The sockets in the AES preamp are Chinese.. Contrary to much belief,the Chinese make some very nice quality stuff and their tubes are the most are the most expensive on the planet when you get the good stuff.
If you really want to wake your preamp up,take out the electrolytics and put in film caps in the power supply and you won't believe the difference.
