Japan EL34 labeled Mullard or Amperex

A guy on an earlier thread wanted to see a Japan EL34 labeled Mullard. I don't recall that ever happening, but it's possible. But under the Amperex name it did after Amperex was bought by Richardson/National. Here's a picture of one.

Japanese tubes are excellent. But in 1980 Japanese products were considered lower quality, and we all know that "Japan Incorporated" was going to put the US out of business. Like China today.

As I mentioned in another thread, the best way to spot an Amperex tube that should raise a red flag is to look at the "R" for registered at the end of Amperex. If the R is centered to the right of the X then it is from the Richardson days. This tube was labeled Made in Holland.
