Now, your generosity is making me feel a little guilty that my initial response to your posting was not sufficiently liberal.
You may have already started to build up your understanding of vacuum tubes, their nature, types, manufactures and so forth, so that you might now be aware that in many, or some, but not all applications, a 6DJ8 or a ECC88 or a 6N23P may be substituted.
