It is always difficult to make conclusions based on just a few tubes, in one system, with one set of ears.
I have listened to the EH 6922 for years and have lots of them in my system for good or bad. So I was a excited when a friend sent me a quad of the GL 6922.
Same tube to my ears in my system based on the quad of GL 6922 that I had on hand. A great sounding tube but I found it to be no different sonically versus the EH.
Interesting that some report the GL is warmer sounding compared to the EH. I have always found the EH to be a very warm sounding tube perhaps a bit too warm for my tastes. Still an excellent tube all around.
Could it simply be a case of batch variations in sonics? Who knows? I sure don't.
