hi there,

i'm experimenting with the tube output stage of my Jolida DAC, mkIII;
it came with 2 Tungsol 12ax7, new production, not bad;
now i'm using 2 Psavane 12ax7, much better, more natural, much more musical;
when comparing with 2 NOS GE JAN 5751, 1974 i had home from the times
when i was using a tube amp, i still prefer the Psavane;
BUT i want to try some more 5751, before deciding finally for the Psavane

my 5751 NOS short list (i can get them easily in Europe):

GE 5751 Triple Mica, Gray Plates, early 60's
SYLVANIA JAN 5751 double mica, grey plates.mid 70's
RCA 5751 Black Plates, double mica, extra support rods

question is: which one to buy for better results (i listen mostly to classical, vocal and jazz)

but please don't advice me to look at another direction: this is my short list, period... :), thanks!
