Instead of the dinky little 32uf caps in series and parallel OEM they now have 3 by 470uf OR 4 by 470uf PSU caps, bypassed with film caps. At 340v HT that's a lot more joules than most 100wpc ss amps. Oh yes and SS rectifiers. Soft Recovery SR types and snubbed as well.
I have never heard better bass, either for slam or nuance and timbre.
The maximum output in RMS terms is till only 20WPC. Yet, they don't sound small. A pure class-A 45wpc SS STAX amp also rebuilt, isn't within a bull's roar of just one of them. Bi-amped it's an even bigger gap.
Highish volts squared is the reason valve amps don't need big capacitors.
Did you not know the formula for energy storage in _any_ PSU?
