Tube Power Amps ... power supply capacitance.

Something I've always wondered is why it appears tube power amplifier feature apparently modest sized power supply filtering/smoothing capacitance compared to SS power amps.

I mean in a general sense, although it also seems to me that samples of huge amounts being used, multiple 100,000 uF and even more, also are more readily found in the SS world.

I realize the rail voltages are typically much higher in tube power amps, hence higher voltage rated caps, perhaps that's the key?

Just curious.
