I have been enjoying my system and not really modified anything for quite a while but the urge to reach the next level is now too much to bear!
I have an excellent technician who has advised me (purely from a technical viewpoint) that the "doors need to be let open". "you have excellent tubes etc but the components are not letting the system reach its potential". However, he has also stressed that the sound is personal and I may like or dislike the change".
So I have just reached the point where I want to 'try' to go to the next level. I want to hear what is possible. I guess its a bit of experimenting and the willingness to accept that it may not be better. I can go step back if I need to.

But there is so much experience and wisdom far above my own from persons on this site, that I value all who have their own experiences and advice to share.
