I haven't had the chance to try the Russian Gold Lion 12AX7, but I have experience with the Chinese version. It is also sold under the Tubestore's Preferred Series name. They're actually quite nice. Generally, they compare favorably compared to other modern offerings. I find the sonics are overall better and punchier. Welded plates, decent looking mica, no microphonics worth noting, overall great value. My only complaint is that there is an edgy character to them (might just need more hours to dispel that a little).
The official name of this tube, I believe, is the Shuguang 7025. I wonder what screening and matching New Sensor does on their end...
