Cool tubes ! I have a set and can tell you these sound excellent. They run cooler than EL84s so they were made better than you think. They do look East Euro or Russian, but, who cares ?

Some day, you might luck out and find a quad of genuine Amperex or Mullard 7189 or 7189A tubes. Some folks crave the Telefunken 7189s. I prefer the Great Britain or Holland vintage 7189s. Still, I could definitely enjoy those gold pin Realistics... ENJOY !
